Film Photography + Digital Manipulation, Summer 2023

Independent Project

This series of images offers a chilling glimpse into a world irrevocably altered by climate change. The collection fuses iconic landmarks from around the globe with stark reminders of environmental devastation. From an underwater Acropolis to an Egyptian Museum desecrated by litter, each photo is a jarring amalgamation of human achievement and environmental failure. The series serves as a poignant wake-up call, urging us to confront the immediate and far-reaching impacts of climate degradation. By placing the consequences of our actions within the sacred halls of history and the wonders of the world, these images challenge us to reconsider our relationship with the planet and to act before these fictional scenarios become our disquieting reality

are we building a better future or erasing the invaluable assets of our past?

We'll have to become so big to tackle the rise in temperature

Acropolis under water

This piece was exhibited in the Houston Center for Photography as a part of their Collaborations program. It works to show how as humans we plaster materials constantly over our natural land and attempt to coerce the natural environment to meet our needs

What if we treated our museums the way we treat our streets?
